To become a member in the Order of the Eastern Star, you need to be a Master Mason or a woman who is related by birth or marriage to a Master Mason. You will have two ladies and a Masonic member of our Chapter come visit you after we read your petition in Chapter. This is an investigating committee. They will ask you how you heard about Martha Washington, why you want to join, if you will be active, and give you more information about the Order.
After the investigating committee reports, there will be a vote taken, and you will then go through an initiation. After you've gone through initiation, you can then attend meetings and become active!
